Storytimes at Ohio Twp. Public Library System are designed to promote early literacy skills for kids before they go to kindergarten. We begin with Baby Storytime for infants and continue up the ladder through toddler and pre-schoolers, until kids are in all-day school. Our storytimes incorporate pre-reading skills your child can start learning from birth, through lively read-alouds, flannelboard activities, finger plays and songs, kids start getting ready to read before they start school. You can help your baby, toddler and pre-schooler learn important skills now so they can become good readers.
Our storytimes are divided into developmental age groups to focus on stories, songs and activities best suited for that age level. If you have a question about which storytime would be the best match for your child, talk to one of our Librarians. Registration is not necessary. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to stay in the room to enjoy the stories and activities with their child (required for Baby Storytime and Toddler Storytime).
