Did cabin fever hit you and your kids? Even though the weather is starting to improve, we have lots of active, indoor events to help your kids use up some of that excess energy and crankiness from being stuck inside all winter. These programs will all be held at Ohio Twp. Central Children’s Department and all are FREE!
Wed., Feb. 19 – Explorer’s Club, 3:30 PM, ages K-4. We will explore the penny with a story, experiments and a craft! Please respect our age limits: younger siblings are invited in near the end of the program to participate in the craft with the “big kids.”
Fri., Feb. 21 - Make Your Own Musical Instrument, drop in from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM , ages 2-6. We’ll have all the supplies set out in our Activity Room for you to make a variety of rhythm instruments – drums, kazoos, shakers and more! Drop by to make some and play some.
Sat., Feb. 22 – Library Olympics, drop in from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, all ages. Have you been watching the Winter Olympics? We have and we want to participate, too! Come by our Activity Room between 10:00AM-3:00PM to try out some of our own “library sports” challenges. Play against your family members or challenge the librarians!
Mon., Feb. 24 – Giggles and Games, 6:00PM, ages 18 mo – 7 years. We will feature several stations for parents and their kids to experience. Included will be games, crafts and snacks. Kids will have so much fun playing, they won’t realize they are learning important skills for when they learn to read. Parents will also receive a take-home packet of activities to do at home. Start now to raise a reader!
