Ohio Township Public Library System
Winter and Spring 2015
Pre-School Storytime – Thursdays, 10:30am, ages 2-6. Children and an adult are invited to join us once a week to enjoy stories, songs, flannelboard games and an occasional craft. The activities will reinforce early literacy skills that increase the likelihood of future reading success. No sign-up is necessary.
Family Fun Jingo Bingo – ages pre-school-gr 6 with an adult. Bring the whole family to play the exciting, educational and fun-filled alternative to Bingo, where pictures replace numbers and clues are given to identify them. Prizes for kids…
Dance Party – ages 2-6 and adult. Everyone will have fun singing all-time favorite songs. We’ll sing songs and rhymes, play with beanbags and instruments, dance and sometimes play with the parachute. Great for kids who like to be active!
Terrific Tuesdays – ages 3-12. Join us every Tuesday afternoon for some awesome crafts and other cool things to do. We will always have a craft to do, but we might also build with Legos, we might play games, we might play Wii – you have to join us to find out. Sometimes we will be in the Children’s Activity Room, but sometimes we might be in the meeting room or in the Children’s Library; look for the fun and you will find us!
Bells Alive Handbell Choir -Join us for this monthly special and learn to play handbells. They are easy to play, using a color-coded system. Already know how to play – we will play some of our favorites and learn some new songs, too!
Block Party – It’s President’s Day, so there is no school! Come by our Children’s Dept. anytime between 1:30 -3:00pm to build with wooden blocks. They aren’t just for babies – everyone loves to build with them. We’ll put out wooden blocks plus some “Lincoln Logs” for kids to build with. Build your own creation or try one of our challenges!
