Every Hero Has a Story - Sign up for our free reading program! It starts on Wednesday, May 20 and continues through the summer. Win coupons, a free paperback book and other prizes. Kids, ages birth to grade 5 can participate in the Children’s Department.
Pre-School Storytime – Thursdays, 10:30am, ages 2-6. Children and an adult are invited to join us once a week to enjoy stories, songs, flannelboard games and a craft. The activities will reinforce early literacy skills that increase the likelihood of future reading success. No sign-up is necessary.
Terrific Tuesdays – ages 3-12. Every Tuesday afternoon, drop in between 2:00 and 3:30pm, ages 3-12. Join us for some awesome crafts and other cool things to do. We will feature a different craft, build with Legos and have a Minute-to-Win-It game each week.
Bells Alive Handbell Choir -Thurs., June 4 – July 16 and Tues., July 16 (dress rehearsal), 12:30 – 2:00, grades 1-6. Join our handbell choir and feel instant success by using a simple color-coded system. Each week’s hero inspired songs will prepare us for our July 22nd public performance. Please sign up.
Summer Carnival - Wednesday, June 3, drop in from 2:00 – 4:00pm, ages 2 -12. Kids will have a blast with games, face-painting, snow cones and prizes.
Police Dog Demonstration - Wed., June 10, 2:00 – 3:00pm. Sgt. Tony Todisco, from the Warrick County Sheriff’s Dept., will be here with his police dog. He and his dog will demonstrate how they work together as a team in police work.
Community Heroes - Fri., June 12, drop by between 2:00-3:00pm, all ages. Come by our circle parking lot in front of the library to visit with heroes from our community – policemen, firemen, EMTs and more!
Animal Avengers - Wed., June 17, 2:00pm, ages 3-12. the guys from Animal Tales will bring live animals to show us how these animal avengers are heroes of the wild! You’ll get a chance to ask questions and touch some of the animals, too!
American Heroes and Legends Show - Tues., June 23, 2:00pm, ages 3-12. Remember Paul Odenwelder from Family Time Entertainment – the guy who presented our pirate program a few years ago? He will be back with a campsite set to share stories, play his guitar and sing about American Heroes and Legends. Sure to be hilarious and entertaining.
Hero Training Camp - Fri., June 26, drop by between 2:00-3:30pm, ages 3-12. Joion our one-day Hero Camp and find out all about being a superhero! We’ll have games, activities and cape-making for you to try.
