Evansville VA Healthcare Center
A Free Lunch & Learn
The Department of Veterans Affairs new 96,000 sq. ft. health care center on Evansville’s East Side has been open for over a year, but some veterans don’t know about the facility or the services they offer. With that in mind, The Ohio Township Central Library and H.E.L.P. (Healthcare Education Learning Partners) are collaborating for a Lunch & Learn program to inform area Veterans, their friends, and their families about all that the Evansville VA Healthcare Center has to offer.
This free lunch and informational session takes place on Wednesday, February 13 at 12:00 p.m. in the Diamond Room at the Ohio Township Central Library in Newburgh.
Evansville VA Healthcare Center Community Health Nurse Tracey Green will be the guest speaker. She is a registered nurse, and currently oversees community health services for Veterans in the Tri-State area. Green will explain what is new at the Evansville clinic, what services are available, and how to apply for VA health care.
Join us to learn more about the Evansville VA Healthcare Center and how they can help Veterans meet their health care needs. Note: The health care center can help Veterans register for healthcare benefits and provide healthcare benefits, but doesn’t handle other VA benefits such as GI Bill, VA Loans, death benefits, etc.
