Everyone says NOW is the time to buy a home. But is it for you? Buying a new home can be a complicated process and you need to get your house in order before you begin. Kim Brown, Financial Counselor for Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Tri-State will help you to understand what it takes to own a home, the risks and rewards, key decision factors, and more on Wednesday, April 25 from 2-3:30pm in the Diamond Room at OTPL/Central Library/Newburgh.
Join Brown for an informative program about falling home prices in the present housing market and what will make you a “qualified” buyer and of interest to the seller.
This event is one of more than 100 free classes, seminars and activities promoting financial education that will take place during Money Smart Week April 21-28 in the state of Indiana. Efforts are coordinated by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and its Money Smart partners, of which OTPL/Central Library/Newburgh is a part. This week is designed to educate consumers about money management and create awareness of financial education programs on a wide range of topics such as budgeting, saving and using credit wisely.
